HOW COACHING HELPS

What brings families here β€” and what we work on together

Most parents arrive with a feeling β€” stressed, stuck, unsure. Here’s what those feelings usually point to, and what we do in sessions to make things better.

β€’

Behavior & emotions

"I don't know how to handle the outbursts anymore."

  • Finding out what's really driving the behavior
  • Tantrums, meltdowns, and big emotional reactions
  • Discipline that works β€” without yelling or giving in
  • Helping your child learn to manage their feelings
β€’

Your relationship with your child

"We keep clashing. I want us to be closer."

  • Talking to your child in a way they actually hear
  • Setting limits without constant fighting
  • Rebuilding closeness after a rough patch
  • Feeling like a good parent β€” not just a referee
β€’

School & learning

"Something's off at school and I don't know how to help."

  • School struggles, learning differences, and big transitions
  • Building homework habits and daily routines
  • Helping your child make friends and handle social stress
  • How to talk to teachers and get your child what they need
β€’

Gifted & sensitive children

"My child feels everything so deeply β€” how do I support them?"

  • Understanding how gifted and sensitive kids think and feel
  • Dealing with perfectionism, worry, and fear of failure
  • Big emotions and reactions that feel out of proportion
  • Helping your child feel okay about being different
β€’

Family life

"Our whole household feels out of balance."

  • Sibling fighting and adjusting to a new baby
  • Co-parenting when you and your partner don't agree
  • Helping kids get through big life changes
  • Creating routines that actually stick
β€’

Parenting with confidence

"I second-guess every decision I make."

  • Making decisions without constant doubt
  • Staying consistent when things get hard
  • Finding a style that fits your family and your values

Meet Aridia

Aridia

Parenting educator Certified postpartum doula Child development specialist

I became a parent and quickly found out that the hard part wasn't the newborn stage β€” it was everything that came after. The toddler who won't listen. The big kid who shuts down. The moments where you don't recognize yourself.

I started Parentville Center because every parent deserves real support β€” not just advice from the internet or tips that work for someone else's kid. My work is grounded in child development, and my approach is simple: when parents feel supported, families change for the better.

I bring warmth, real expertise, and zero judgment to every session. Whatever you're going through β€” I've seen it, lived it, or studied it deeply.

"My goal is simple: help you feel supported, informed, and confident β€” at every stage of parenting."

COMMON QUESTIONS

Everything you need to know before your first session.

Is this the same as therapy? Β
No β€” and that's an important difference. Parent coaching is about education, practical tools, and building skills. It's not therapy or mental health treatment. If you feel you or your child may need clinical support, I'm happy to help point you in the right direction.
What ages do you work with? Β
I work with parents of children from babies all the way through the elementary years and beyond. Not sure if your child's age is a fit? Just ask β€” the answer is almost always yes.
Do I have to live nearby? Β
Nope. All sessions are virtual, so you can join from anywhere. No commute, no babysitter needed β€” just a quiet spot and a good connection.
Can my partner join? Β
Yes β€” and for many families, having both parents in the session makes a big difference. When you're both on the same page, it's a lot easier to stay consistent at home.
How do I know which package is right for me? Β
That's what the free call is for. We'll talk about what's going on, how long it's been a problem, and what level of support would actually help. No pressure β€” just an honest conversation.
What happens during the free consultation? Β
It's a 15-minute call β€” no forms, no sales pitch. We talk about your family, your biggest challenge, and whether coaching is the right next step. If it's not, I'll say so.
What if I don't know exactly what I need help with? Β
That's actually where most families start β€” with a feeling, not a clear problem. 'Something's off and I can't put my finger on it' is a perfectly valid reason to reach out. Part of what happens in the first session is figuring out what's actually going on beneath the surface. Most parents arrive thinking the problem is one thing, and we uncover something more useful to work on. That's not a detour β€” that's the work. You don't need to come prepared with a presentation. Just show up honestly, and we'll figure it out together.
How quickly will I see results? Β
Most parents leave the first session with at least one thing they can try that day. Whether it shifts things depends on the situation and how consistently it's applied β€” but you won't walk away without something concrete. Deeper patterns β€” recurring power struggles, long-standing anxiety in a child, co-parenting misalignment β€” take more time. That's not a failure; that's just how change works. The three-month program exists because real, lasting change usually takes more than a few conversations. What I can promise: you'll leave every session with a clearer understanding of what's happening and a specific next step. No vague advice. No homework that doesn't fit your life.
Is coaching covered by insurance or HSA/FSA? Β
Health insurance doesn't typically cover parent coaching services β€” but HSA and FSA funds can often be used for coaching sessions, and Aridia has an NPI number which makes the documentation process straightforward. After your session, Aridia can provide a receipt or superbill with all the information your HSA or FSA plan needs for reimbursement. Ask us about this during your consultation β€” many families are surprised to find out how much of the cost they can offset with pre-tax dollars.
